Two-Year M.Arch Curriculum Guide

All students complete 13 courses over three semesters and a summer session of academic studies (46 credits)

  • Three (3) 6-credit studios and a 3-credit summer workshop (21 credits)
  • A required academic internship of at least 14 weeks following the framework articulated by National Council of Architectural Registration Board’s Intern Development Program (IDP) for architectural licensing. 
    • Track 1: Internship during the spring semester and first summer session.
    • Track 2: Internship during the second summer session and the fall semester.
  • Four (4) 3-credit seminar courses in the areas of Research Methods, Professional Practice, Building Practices and Technologies, and Critical Thinking and Representation (12 credits)
  • Four (4) 3-credit other graduate electives (may be an approved Certificate Program) (12 credits)
  • One (1) 1-credit Final Project Preparation Course (1 credit)
