Academics and Admissions

The Department of Landscape Architecture at Ball State offers students the opportunity to earn a five-year professional degree--the bachelor of landscape architecture (BLA)--as well as a master of landscape architecture (MLA) or an undergraduate minor.

Our program has attracted national recognition. In 2009, we were cited for the third straight year as one of the best undergraduate programs in the nation by Design Intelligence, while our graduate program earned a fifth-place ranking.

Here, you'll receive excellent instruction and individual attention from our faculty. You'll also take your education beyond the classroom through our distinctive immersive learning and other experiential opportunities.

And as part of Ball State's nationally recognized College of Architecture and Planning, you will have your own design studio space and work with our state-of-the-art facilities and technology.
