Graduate Real Estate Development

Ball State combines the resources of four colleges and seven departments to create an interdisciplinary initiative for a real estate development undergraduate minor and graduate certificate. The programs complement many degree programs, including urban planning, architecture, historic preservation, business administration, accounting, residential property management, construction management, and others.

Real estate development can be both a profitable business and an instrument for promoting the public interest, inclusive of the goals of sustainable communities, affordable housing, and community development.

The real estate development program can lead to job and entrepreneurial opportunities in a number of areas including land and property development, redevelopment, land conservation, environmental protection, recreation development, property management, energy management, investment banking, real estate brokerage for sales and leasing, marketing analysis, valuation/appraisal, real estate and land use law, urban planning, and community and economic development.
