Four departments comprise the College of Communication, Information, and Media, and you’ll discover that just as the lines and definitions of these areas and disciplines blur, overlap, and evolve, so do our departments.
For instance, as a
journalism major you may share a project or take classes with a
telecommunications (or TCOM, which is how our students refer to the telecommunications department and major) student. Also as media outlets continue to collaborate, we want you to learn the importance of being knowledgeable about all areas of communication.
