If you need help paying for your graduate education at the Center for Information and Communication Sciences (CICS), a graduate assistantship might be for you. CICS awards as many as 14 graduate assistantships to students within the program. These awards cover tuition and include a stipend (though you’ll be responsible for certain fees). In return, you’ll be required to work within the department.
It’s university policy that graduate assistants don’t accept other employment in addition to the assistantship. If a limited amount of additional employment is deemed necessary, the
CICS director must approve, and if that employment is at Ball State, the approval of the
Graduate School dean also is required.
