Institute for Wireless Innovation
Wired communication is so 20th century. These days, wireless is becoming the preferred medium for transmitting voice, data, and video—and that means those who know these technologies are likely to have solid career prospects. The industry will need an increasing number of knowledgeable professionals to keep up with market demands, and Ball State is striving to be a leader in wireless education at the master’s level.
The Institute of Wireless Innovation (IWI) was created by Ball State’s Center for Information and Communication Sciences in conjunction with Ericsson, a leading provider of wireless telecommunication equipment. IWI provides CICS students and others the chance to learn about leading-edge wireless technologies through workshops and hands-on labs, and it offers access to useful resources.
IWI benefits the industry by offering research and other evaluation services for wireless products and applications.
