In addition to the core courses in the Center for Information and Communication Sciences, master’s students must take an elective outside the center’s offerings, along with CICS electives that match their interests and needs. The degree features four options from which you may chose electives. All students, however, must take at least one class from the C option (planning and development) and one from the D option (information management).
- Option A, Human Communication, Business, and Regulation—This option introduces you to various factors of the information and communication business relating to culture, organizational contact, problem solving, and regulation.
- Option B, Information and Communication Technologies—You will explore the purpose and application of information and communication technologies in various corporate environments. You will be exposed to wired and wireless systems making use of converging technologies including digital media.
- Option C, Planning, Development, and Design—You will learn to manage planning and development issues associated with the deployment of information and communication technologies as well as project management and human factors.
- Option D, Information and Communication Management—You will learn how to manage, through organization and planning, information and communication technologies in varied environments.
