Social Learning Program

Just as learning doesn’t take place only in the classroom, business does not always take place just in the workplace. Restaurants, social gatherings, the 19th hole—all are places where important business might be conducted, and we want to be sure you perform well in such nontraditional settings. That’s what the Social Learning Program is all about.

A holistic addition to the CICS curriculum and lab work, the Social Learning Program includes more than a dozen events each year that provide social and cultural enrichment and the chance to sharpen networking and interpersonal communication skills.

Students, alumni, and working professionals may gather for a ski trip, wine tasting, a round of golf, or a formal dinner. They might tailgate together before the homecoming game or dine together around graduation. The Social Learning Program also schedules job placement seminars, workshops on honing presentation skills, and professional conferences.
