Creating innovative software and Web applications can be an amazing accomplishment, but developers can’t just write that final line of code and be done with it. Sophisticated testing is needed to ensure its functionality, performance, and usability. That’s the
objective of the Software Testing Institute (STI), which provides valuable
services to
client partners and excellent hands-on experience for students.
Since 2001, the institute’s
independent labs have provided feedback and recommended changes. And the institute is involved in developing an expert reviewer tool that can provide feedback for interface and system improvements even before full usability studies begin. The STI is comprised of graduate students and other personnel working under the direction of
Kirsten Smith, the CICS technology officer and labs manager.
