When you're seeking your bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree, we are looking for bright, curious students who want a challenge.
We offer five bachelor’s degree programs that will prepare you for different areas of chemistry.
Our 43-hour chemistry option, certified by the American Chemical Society, will prepare you for a job in industry or government. Our departmental option prepares you for a career that requires a strong background in chemistry and for further studies in a graduate or professional program. Our biochemistry option will also prepare you for a job or advanced studies. Plus, we offer two teaching options. No matter what chemistry option you choose, consider adding a Science in Entrepreneurship Certificate.
If you plan to study mathematics or another science, consider chemistry as a minor.
Your learning at Ball State will go beyond the classroom. Starting your freshman year, you can get hands-on laboratory research, thanks to the Chemistry Research Immersion Summer Program, a model for other universities.
