Our students learn about computer languages, systems, and graphics during their time at Ball State. They also develop the skills they need to work within a team to solve problems. Having good communication skills is an important trait for success, since computer science graduates must be able to communicate with coworkers, managers, and possibly customers.
At Ball State, our computer science graduates are strongly positioned to enter the job force in a variety of careers. In both the public and privates sectors, our graduates are finding good-paying jobs as software developers, software test engineers, software development managers, software architects, programmer analysts, systems developers, web developers, and applications support analysts.
Many of our graduates also go on to earn an advanced degree to follow a career in teaching or to position them for a better paying job.
