Courses You Will Take

To earn a graduate certificate in health economics, policy, and administration, you will need to take the following courses:

Required Courses (9 hours)

• ECON 548 Health and Economics (3 credit hours)
  or, ECON 509 Survey of Economics (3 credit hours)
  or, MBA 651 Economic Analysis for Managers (3 credit hours)
• ECON 683 Health Economic Analysis (3 credit hours)
• ECON 693 Health Economics and Policy (3 credit hours)

Electives (3 hours)
Choose one course among the following:

• MGT 661 Human Resource Management (3 credit hours)
• RMI 570 Risk Management and Insurance (3 credit hours)
• MKG 505 Survey of Marketing (3 credit hours)
• BL 665 Law, Ethics, and Public Policy (3 credit hours)

Many of the certificate courses are taught via web conferencing for two hours one evening each week. However, for optimal flexibility, you may opt to view the lecture at a later time. Courses generally have weekly assignments.
