Introducing the only certified PR master’s program in the nation

When you graduate from Ball State’s master’s program in public relations, you can polish off your résumé with a line that will be missing from the résumés of graduates from all other programs: “Graduate of the nation’s only certified master’s PR program.”

With a long, distinguished track record in public relations education, Ball State’s master of arts in public relations went online in 2009. The bachelor’s degree program is also certified, just one of 22 such programs in the country.

In Ball State’s MA in public relations program, you will learn theory, planning, writing, and management skills, providing a well-rounded graduate education which will prepare you for a range of positions from entry level to management.

Our faculty have distinguished backgrounds combining academic and professional experience in public relations, journalism, advertising, and marketing. And our small classes mean you get those professors’ full attention.

According to the Commission on Public Relations Education, a master’s degree in public relations is the equivalent of three years professional experience.

Although most of our online students are working professionals who enroll in an average of two courses each semester, it is possible to pursue an accelerated online format and complete the program in four consecutive semesters.

Consider Our Certificates
But if graduate work is something you’re still pondering, Ball State offers two other options: graduate certificate programs in public relations, which give you a master’s level credential and a sample of graduate work which eventually you can apply to the master of arts program.

Delivery Mode
Working professionals are usually glad to know that this program is offered 100 percent online. For those who prefer the traditional classroom, the master’s in public relations is also offered on campus.
