Master of Arts in Secondary Education
As a middle or high school teacher enrolled in this program, you’ll gain intensive professional preparation pedagogy, curriculum, educational foundations, educational technology, multicultural education, and educational research. You’ll explore theoretical concepts that will directly impact your instructional effectiveness, helping both you and the students you teach.
The program provides you with intensive professional preparation in six core areas: pedagogy, curriculum, educational foundations, educational technology, multicultural education, as well as educational research. The program enables practicing teachers to explore theoretical concepts that relate directly to their instruction to improve instructional effectiveness. To complete the requirements for the degree, you must elect four additional courses that will enhance your knowledge of content or pursue additional course work in the six core areas.
Graduate students without teaching licenses may pursue initial licensure while simultaneously completing requirements for this degree.
