Minor in Digital Media

Our newest all-online minor is a great match with many careers. You will gain experience and skills in digital storytelling, video, sound, graphic design, and interactive design. And, the professors will be using course delivery methods and other emerging media technologies that will make your experience even more relevant to today's workplaces.

What is Different About the Digital Media Minor
The classes within the digital media minor are semester-based, rather than in the 10-week format of other courses in the online bachelor of general studies (BGS) program. This means you will start courses at the beginning of the fall, spring, or summer semesters and continue through the end of the 16-week spring and fall terms or five-week summer terms—just as our main-campus students do.

In fact, you will be taking these online courses with students studying on our main campus. This is different than other BGS courses where you work independently and do not have group project requirements.

Another difference is that the courses are not self-paced, as your other BGS courses are. Assignments and class participation requirements are due weekly.

If you are not a resident of Indiana, tuition costs are also different for these online courses vs. the Independent Learning courses making up the majority of the BGS program.
