Graduate Departmental Scholarships

There are four scholarships specific to English graduate students.  Students are encouraged to apply for any scholarship they are eligible for.

• The Frances Mayhew Rippy graduate scholarship for English graduate students majoring in literature
• The Dr. Janet Ross Scholarship for Teachers of English as a Second Language
• The Midwest Writers Workshop Scholarship in Creative Writing for English graduate students 
• The Voss English Research Award for master’s or doctoral candidates with a concentration in literature or a master’s candidate working toward a degree in English with a general emphasis
