Our creative writing minor is designed to contribute to your liberal arts and professional education by fostering creative thinking and effective writing. The advanced level Creative Writing in the Community course and our literary editing course which creates The Broken Plate offer immersive learning experiences that enhance your writing skills outside the classroom by bringing them toward the wider world of both community service and publishing. In addition, our Visiting Writers Series and the In Print Festival of First Books bring numerous experienced writers to campus to discuss creativity and the writing life.
