I currently teach courses both in the Writing Program and in creative writing. I am a published writer of fiction and poetry. Recently my work has appeared in the
New Southerner,
Pet Milk, and
Muscadine Lines, and I have a story forthcoming in The
Louisville Review. I recently received a Pushcart nomination for my short story “Something in the Wash” and I was awarded the 2009 New Southerner Prize in Fiction for that same story.
