Adjusting to new surroundings, people, and responsibilities can be a challenge. To help you with your transition to college life, our department participates in the university-wide
Freshman Connections program.
Freshman Connections will provide you with a living-learning community experience. With other first-year students, you will become a part a community that also includes faculty, residence hall directors, academic advisors, and upper-class student mentors.
This interaction will take place when you start your Geography 101 class, Earth, Sea, and Sky: A Geographic View. You will be grouped with other students in this class to have the opportunity to study together, eat lunch, or even hang out at a football game.
