Faculty Research

Our purpose as educators is to provide you with a high quality education. In order to do that, we have to make sure we’re staying on top of the latest research.

Some of our faculty like to research people and places, and others have interests in weather and climate. Here are a few examples:

  • Christopher Airriess is interested in the Pacific Rim ports and development as well as ethnic Southeast Asians in North America.
  • Reuben Allen is interested in Latin America and the Philippines.
  • Jill Coleman is focusing her research on human biometeorology, synoptic climatology, and atmospheric teleconnections.

As you can see, we cover a lot of areas, and it’s all for your benefit.

Find out more about our research areas by reading the profile pages in our faculty and staff directory.
