Minors That Work Well with This Degree

Several minors work well with a degree in geology and can be geared toward specific geoscience areas.

For example, an interest in geophysics suggests a minor in physics and an interest in paleontology suggests a minor in biology.  Geological science majors interested in environmental geology should consider the range of minors offered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management.  Other applicable departmental minors are archaeology (anthropology), chemistry, math, and computer science.  There are also valuable interdepartmental minors in entrepreneurship and environmentally sustainable practices.
