Information and Communication Sciences

If you enjoy technology and want to explore how to pair the latest developments with leadership and management skills to solve problems throughout businesses and industries, a master of science in information and communication sciences is for you.

Our Center for Information and Communication Sciences offers a state-of-the-art program on a campus with leading-edge technology, including a nationally recognized wireless network. You’ll learn how to diagnose information and communication problems and use the latest technologies to select, design, develop, and manage information gathering, processing, storage, and dissemination.

Our excellent faculty will guide you through this 11-month program and help you develop social and networking skills through a special Social Learning Program. Through our program you can choose to focus on one of four areas including human communication and business regulation, information and communication technologies, planning, development and design, and information and communication management. When you complete this program you’ll be ready to work in business, industry, government, and nonprofit organizations and:

  • Apply your knowledge of human information and communication problems.
  • Work with convergence, networking, and digital media technologies.
  • Be involved in pursuits such as developing integrated information systems and designing networks.
  • Solve problems that range from delivering entertainment to the home, to automating libraries, to finding new ways to manage voice, data, and imaging problems in large organizations.
