Adapted Physical Education 
When you focus on adapted physical education, you’ll work directly with special populations of students and students with disabilities both on campus and in the Muncie public schools. In addition to your course work, you’ll gain experience in research and leadership.

Coaching 
When you focus on coaching, you can complete your master’s degree online. You’ll learn to evaluate techniques used by coaches, improve your own coaching skills, analyze whether coaching methods are effective, and perform research that will benefit the coaching field.

The coaching specialization has additional admission requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, physical education, biology, or other appropriate major. By the completion of the program, you must have at least five years of coaching experience either as an assistant or head coach in an interscholastic, club, competitive, or structured sport venue. Sport Administration 
If you want to lead and administer physical education and athletic programs, focusing on sport administration can help you achieve your goals. You can choose either the public school option, which will prepare you to work in elementary, middle, junior, or high school physical education programs or interscholastic athletic programs, or the higher education option, which will prepare you to administer college or university level physical education programs or intercollegiate programs. Sport and Exercise Psychology 
When you specialize in sport and exercise psychology you’ll gain a thorough understanding of the psychological principles related to sport and motor performance. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in laboratory and practicum experiences in addition to classroom study. Learn more

Sport Management 
If you want to manage intercollegiate athletic programs and professional sports teams and organizations, the sport management specialization is for you. You can pursue this program at the graduate level even if you did not major in physical education at the undergraduate level. Learn more

Teacher Education 
If you want to enhance your skills as a K-12 physical education teacher, consider the teacher education specialization. You can fulfill many of the course requirements through summer workshop courses that maintain the rigor of graduate-level courses while allowing working teachers to complete the degree in a timely manner.
