If a career in public management is what you want, consider obtaining a master’s degree in public administration.
Our program at Ball State blends the study of politics and administration with techniques for modern management and will prepare you to focus on an administrative or research career. You can also choose to specialize in
criminal justice administration through a separate degree offered through a partnership between the
political science and
criminal justice and criminology departments. As you pursue your studies you can take advantage of seminars offered at the
Bowen Center for Public Affairs, named for former Gov. Otis Bowen. You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with
our excellent faculty, including many individuals who have served on government and not-for-profit boards and commissions and who are active in both political parties and have sought public office.
