School Superintendency

If you aspire to become a school superintendent, our specialist in education program in school superintendency is for you. At Ball State our educational leadership department is one of the best in the nation and is part of our nationally acclaimed Teachers College. Nearly half of Indiana’s school superintendents participate in one of our five public school study councils, so we know first-hand the education issues that face today’s school administrators. Our program, taught by top-notch faculty, satisfies the licensing program for Indiana school superintendents and includes appropriate work from the field of educational administration as well as related fields such as educational psychology, adult and community education, educational foundations, and counseling psychology. Also, as part of your degree, you will complete an internship working closely with professionals in a school setting.

Apply today to the Graduate School and the educational leadership department. Learn how to defray tuition costs by becoming a graduate assistant.
