If you want to gain important teaching or research experience and take up to 12 hours each semester and pay no tuition costs, consider applying to be a
graduate assistant.
Full-time graduate assistants work 20 hours a week and receive a waiver of tuition fees and a stipend determined by the department. Half-time assistants work 10 hours a week and receive a waiver of half of their tuition costs and a stipend.
You’ll still need to pay
dedicated fees, although you’ll receive
other perks as well.
