Apply for Graduation

Before you can graduate, you’ll need to complete an application for graduation and submit it to the Graduate School. You’ll need to send in your application for graduation within the first four weeks of the semester in which you plan to graduate or the first two weeks of the summer semester.

All master’s, doctoral, and specialist students must apply to receive graduate degrees. You’ll have to obtain your planned program from your department showing any approved program changes made to your course work, and you can submit it to the Graduate School when you apply for graduation. The following deadlines apply:  

• spring semester, 2009: February 9 
• summer semester, 2009: June 8
• fall semester, 2009: September 21
• spring semester, 2010: February 8 
• summer semester, 2010: June 7

Here’s how you can apply for graduation: 

• Apply online for master’s degree or AuD, specialist in education degree, or doctoral degree. 
• Use the PDF version of the application form for master’s degree or AuD, specialist in education degree, or doctoral degree. Complete the form in writing and mail it to the Graduate School, 2000 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47306, or deliver the form to the Graduate School office in the West Quadrangle Building, room 100. Forms are available in the Graduate School office.
