Approximately four out of every five Ball State students receive assistance to defray college expenses. Visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships website for information about grants, loans, scholarships, and other options. In order to be eligible for many forms of financial aid, each student must fill out their FAFSA application before March 15th every year.
Scholarships are a great way to supplement funding for college and do not have to be repaid. The History Department offers several scholarships for incoming students, current students, and graduate students. Some of our scholarships help with tuition, research, and books. The cost of attending college continues to rise every year. Make sure you take advantage of free financial aid to offset the expense of college.
Graduate students may be interested in an assistantship, which provides a stipend, and a waiver of tuition (some fees still apply). Graduate assistantships also often provide additional opportunities to gain valuable experience within the academic world.
