Biography
Anthony Edmonds has been the George and Frances Ball Distinguished Professor of History since 2004. Edmonds co-authored a history of Ball State Basketball (Chicago: Arcadia Press 2004). He is the author of a biography of a prizefighter Joe Louis, and The War in Vietnam, as well as Ball State University: An Interpretive History and Eisenhower, Macmillan and Allied Unity, 1957-61, both co-authored with colleague Bruce Geelhoed. He and Dr. Geelhoed are the co-editors of The Macmillan-Eisenhower Correspondence, 1957-1969 (Palgrave Macmillan.). Edmonds received the 2004 Victor Lawhead Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Core Curriculum. He has won several outstanding teaching awards and was named Outstanding Faculty Advisor in 1996.
