Benjamin M. Buehler studied the scientific principles behind laser materials processing and designed a set of experiments to accurately gather and analyze data. He conducted his research during a summer internship at the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL) on the campus of the University of Central Florida, where he presented a poster and wrote an article in journal format that were critiqued by faculty and students. He wrote about his experience for his Ball State honors project in the form of a research thesis. Advisors: Aravindar Kar (University of Central Florida), Paul Errington.
