Most scholarship selection committees look for:
- High academic achievement
- Strong record of campus leadership
- Strong record of community service
- Outstanding letters of recommendation
- Drive and vision
- Excellent writing skills
Many scholarships are specifically aimed at applicants who meet particular criteria (major, career goals, ethnicity, gender, etc.).
Some scholarships also take financial need into account. To be eligible, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA.
