Boren Scholarships and Fellowships (NSEP)
Undergraduate and graduate study abroad of languages, cultures, and world regions outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Undergraduate Scholarships deadline: February 13, 2013 (campus deadline: January 14, 2013)
Graduate Fellowships deadline: January 31, 2013 (campus deadline: January 11, 2013)

DAAD Scholarships
Study or research in Germany in any field. Various scholarship opportunities are available to both graduates and undergraduates.
Deadline: Varies by scholarship program
Major graduate study deadlines: November 1 and 15, 2012
Major undergraduate study deadlines: January 31, 2013

Fulbright Program
Study, research, or teach English abroad (beyond the bachelor's degree) in any field to increase cross-cultural understanding. Recipients usually plan their own program of study.
Campus Deadline: September 16, 2012 (National Deadline: Final applications must be submitted online by October 15, 2012)

Gates Cambridge Scholarships
One to four years of study at Cambridge University, beyond a first bachelor's degree, to improve the lives of the world's citizens.
Deadline: October 15, 2012

Goldwater Scholarships
Undergraduate study aimed at a career in science, math, or engineering.
Deadline: January 28, 2013 (campus deadline: December 14, 2012)

Javits Fellowships
Graduate study in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Deadline: The Javits Fellowship is currently on hiatus for the 2012-13 academic year.

Madison Fellowships
Master's level study for individuals who plan to teach American history, American government, and/or social studies in grades 7-12.
Deadline: March 1, 2013

Marshall Scholarships
Undergraduate and graduate study in any discipline at a university in the United Kingdom.
Deadline: October 1, 2012 (campus deadline: August 27, 2012)
Pre-application for 2013 competition: May 3, 2013

Mitchell Scholarships
Graduate study in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Deadline: October 2, 2012 (campus deadline: August 27, 2012)
Pre-application for 2013 competition: May 3, 2013

National Science Foundation (NSF) Fellowships
Graduate research in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences. For women, also graduate research in engineering or computer and information science and engineering.
Deadline: Early November (varies by discipline)

Rhodes Scholarships
Graduate study at Oxford University.
Deadline: October 3, 2012 (campus deadline: August 27, 2012)
Pre-application for 2013 competition: May 3, 2013

Rotary Scholarships
Graduate study abroad to address issus confronting developing nations and world peace.
Global Ambassadorial Scholarship local club deadline: mid-January

Soros Fellowships
Graduate study by immigrants or first-generation Americans.
Deadline: November 1, 2012

Truman Scholarships
Graduate study leading to a career in government, education, the nonprofit sector, or the public interest/advocacy sector with the aim of improving the conditions of society.
Deadline: February 4, 2013 (campus deadline: January 7, 2013)

Udall Scholarships
Undergraduate study leading to a career related to the environment, Native American health care, or tribal public policy.
Deadline: March 4, 2013 (campus deadline: February 4, 2013)
