We offer bachelor’s degrees in four areas: advertising, journalism, public relations, and secondary education. In the journalism major, you may focus your study on one of four sequences: journalism graphics, magazine, news-editorial, or photojournalism.
Each of our majors begins with the basic building blocks of communication. This set of five 3-credit-hour courses (for a total of 15 credit hours) introduces you to your future profession and teaches you the general skills, such as writing and information gathering, that you will need to be a successful professional. As you progress, your skill development and experiences will narrow to focus on your individual career goals.
