Journalism  0051Have a background in journalism but want to develop your skills further? Or are you involved in something completely different but want to branch into journalism or public relations? Either way, Ball State’s Department of Journalism has what you’re seeking.

We welcome students whether or not you have professional media experience—and whether or not you have an undergraduate degree in journalism or public relations. Whatever your situation, you’ll have access to highly qualified professors with lots of professional experience, and you’ll benefit from the hands-on learning opportunities at our state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories.

As a master’s student, you can choose from multiple degree options: a master of arts in journalism, a master of arts in public relations, master of arts degrees in journalism or public relations with special emphases, or a joint degree in journalism/public relations with the Center for Information and Communication Sciences.
