David Sumner

Before joining the Ball State faculty, professor of journalism David Sumner was a feature writer for the Knoxville News Sentinel while teaching and completing his PhD at the University of Tennessee. He also served as the director of communications and editor of Interchange for the Diocese of Southern Ohio in Cincinnati. He is author of The Magazine Century: American Magazines since 1900 and co-author of Magazines: A Complete Guide to the Industry and Feature and Magazine Writing: Action, Angle and Anecdotes.
