Your Checklist for MBA Admission
You must be fully admitted and receive letters of acceptance from both Graduate School and the MBA program before registering in a graduate business course with Ball State University. Here are the steps to follow:
Graduate School Application (for U.S. Students)
Submit completed graduate application form and pay the application fee.
Resume
Prepare a one- or two-page business resume or curriculum vita for use by the Admissions Selection Committee. Portray your work and educational history in a professional style.
List employment in reverse chronological order, and include your title, dates of employment, and an indication of whether each listing was a part-time or full-time job. Also list your educational records in reverse chronological order and indicate dates of attendance and the degrees you obtained. Include any other information you would normally put on your business resume. You'll be able to copy and paste this resume as you fill out the MBA application (please see below).
MBA Application
Submit the completed MBA application to the Miller College of Business.
Transcript
Have all colleges and universities you previously attended send an official copy of your transcripts directly to the Graduate School at the address listed below. (If you’re an international applicant, have transcripts sent to the Rinker Center for International Programs instead.) Please note that all transcripts become the property of Ball State.

GMAT or GRE
Take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and request that scores be sent to Ball State. The Miller College of Business will accept scores that are current (within the last six years) toward application.
The code number for Ball State is 1051.
The GMAT or GRE is waived for anyone who has the following degrees: JD, PhD, PharmD, or MD.

International Applicants
If you’re an international student, you’ll skip the above step and instead file the Foreign Student Application for Admission form and submit the required application fee and other documents. To do so, contact the Rinker Center for International Programs or e-mail for the appropriate forms and application instructions.
TOEFL (for international applicants whose native language is not English)
Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and request scores be sent to Ball State. Visit the TOEFL Web site for information and registration instructions. An application for the TOEFL and an information bulletin may be obtained by contacting the organization listed below. The TOEFL code number for Ball State is 1051.
