Each year, the Miller College selects ten high-caliber students who exemplify strong academic drive, professionalism, motivation, leadership, and ethical and moral character to be Miller Scholars. In addition to taking specially designed honors courses, Miller Scholars receive a full-tuition scholarship for four years, financially supported study abroad experiences, and a laptop computer.
The program supplements classroom learning with professional development opportunities and, networking and social events. While excelling in the classroom, these students are encouraged to seek leadership positions outside the classroom. These positions often include diverse business, university, service and community organizations.
Mentoring is about building a mutually satisfying relationship, and the Miller Mentors program is no exception. Relationships between alumni and Miller Scholars are based on respect and a conscious effort toward personal growth, mutual exchange, and interpersonal support.
