James Duncan

James Duncan, Associate Professor of Accounting, received his bachelor of arts and MBA degrees from Eastern Kentucky University and his PhD from the University of Kentucky (1997). He joined the accounting faculty in 1997. He is a CPA with extensive professional experience in both public and corporate accounting. Prior to returning to school to pursue his doctorate, Duncan was Vice President and Controller of KFC Corporation.

He primarily teaches in the financial accounting area. Dr. Duncan was named the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 Delta Sigma Pi Educator of the Year. Duncan's research is published in Research on Accounting Ethics, The CPA Journal, Management Accounting, Tax Analysts Tax Notes, and the Tax Management Real Estate Journal.
