John Ledbetter, Assistant Professor of Accounting, received his bachelor of applied arts (1973) and master's in Accounting (1977) from Texas Tech University. He received his PhD from the University of Houston in May 1998. He joined the accounting faculty at Ball State in the fall of 1999 after a year as a visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Houston-Downtown.
Ledbetter is a CPA with more than 12 years of experience in public accounting. His background led to an emphasis in taxation in his teaching and research. Areas of research interest include the effects of tax policy on market behavior and tax compliance.
