Li Sun holds an MBA from Washburn University (1999), a master's degree in accounting from Kansas State University (2001), and a doctorate in accounting from Oklahoma State University (2006). Before joining Ball State's accounting faculty in 2007, Sun taught Accounting at Oklahoma State University.
Sun received Oklahoma State's Outstanding Graduate Teaching Associate Award in 2004, and was an American Accounting Association Doctoral Consortium Fellow that same year.
