Profile Dr. Chu-Yuan Cheng, Professor Emeritus of Economics, received his Ph.D. from Georgetown University in 1964. His fields of interest include Comparative Economic Systems, History of Economic Doctrines, and Economic Development. Dr. Cheng's current research project is to write a three-volume analysis of China’s economic history, development and prospects from 1885 to 2050. The study investigates the causes of stagnation and the prospects for an economic resurgence.
