Nazim Ahmed

Nazim U. Ahmed is a professor of operation management. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and master's degree in industrial engineering. He received his PhD in 1978 from Texas A&M University. His primary teaching areas are operations management and management information systems.

His research interests include total quality management, operations strategy, and environmental management and healthcare management. He has published many journal articles and more than forty articles in the proceedings of international, national and regional conferences. His articles have appeared in International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Production and Operations Management, Production and Inventory Management, Journal of Business Research, Information and Management, International Journal of Policy and Information, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Transportation Research and other journals. He has been also active in several professional organizations and served on the editorial review board of several journals.
