Susan Clark Muntean, PhD., is an assistant professor of management in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. Clark Muntean came to Ball State from England, where she was a fellow in the management department at the London School of Economics. She teaches new venture management and entrepreneurial ethics in the university program in entrepreneurship.

Clark Muntean attained her undergraduate degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, her master's degree in business administration from the University of Oregon, and her doctorate in political science from the University of California, San Diego. She has been awarded the Provost Immersive Learning Grant and ASPiRE grant during her first year at Ball State. Her dissertation-related research on ownership structure and corporate political strategy has been published in Business and Politics, Election Law Journal, The Forum: A Journal of Applied Research in Contemporary Politics, Business and Economic History On-Line and in an edited volume, Research on Entrepreneurship and Management.

Clark Muntean current research interests focus on the institutional, cultural and social factors that either promote or inhibit productive entrepreneurial activity, innovation and economic growth. She draws upon her political science and business expertise to evaluate the impact of legislation and public policies on entrepreneurial activity. She has given testimony to state legislators and has been featured in the Indiana Business Review, Indiana Business Journal, Indiana Economic Digest and Inside Indiana Business on this topic.
