Pankaj C. Patel is an associate professor of management in the Miller
College of Business at Ball State University. He received his PhD in
entrepreneurship and strategy in 2009 from the University of Louisville.
His research focuses on three key areas: (i) technology and governance;
(ii) operations management in ventures; and (iii) dark side of
organizational behavior.
He has published articles in journals such as Academy
of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Applied
Psychology, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Management,
Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Journal of
Economic Behavior and Organization, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal,
and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. He has also made over 60
presentations at national and international conferences. He is a
recipient of two best empirical paper awards at USASBE conference, and
best paper award at the 2010 Family Firm Institute conference. He
currently serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies.
