Fellowships are available to any tenure-line faculty member with a research proposal in either American business or American politics.
Each March, proposals are evaluated by a committee consisting of the dean of the Miller College of Business, the dean of the College of Sciences and Humanities, the president of the Ball State University Foundation, and the prior year fellowship recipients.
Stipends of approximately $3,000 may be spent at the recipients discretion between July 1 and June 30, of the following year.
The Fisher Fellowships support scholars with research projects in advanced stages. A major factor in evaluating proposals is the extent a researcher will use the fellowship to complete a project.
