How to Apply
You must be admitted and receive letters of acceptance from both Graduate School and the Department of Accounting before registering in a graduate-level business course with Ball State University. Here are the steps to follow:
Step One
Graduate School Application (for U.S. students)
Submit a completed graduate application form (select Master's Degree - Accounting) and pay the required application fee.
International Students
If you’re an international student, please contact the Rinker Center for International Programs for the appropriate instructions, application forms and fees before proceeding with the international student application process.
Transfer Students
Find out how to transfer your credit to Ball State.
Step Two
Transcript
Have all colleges or universities you previously attended send an official copy of your transcripts directly to the Graduate School at the address below. (International applicants: please send to the Rinker Center for International Programs instead.) Please note that all transcripts become the property of Ball State.

Step Three
GMAT
Take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and request that scores be sent to Ball State. Miller College will accept scores that are current (within the last six years) toward application. Get GMAT information and registration instructions online or get a printed application for the GMAT along with an information bulletin by contacting Educational Testing Service. The GMAT code number for Ball State is 1051.

Final Steps
After completing all of the steps above, you’ll receive correspondence from the Department of Accounting regarding the status of your application. If you do not receive an acceptance or denial letter within four weeks after all materials have been submitted, contact the director of graduate studies in accounting.
Deadlines for US Applicants
All application materials must be received by the following dates:
For entrance in the fall semester: July 1
For entrance in the spring semester: December 1
For entrance in the summer semester: April 1
Graduate Assistantships
Applicants interested in a graduate assistantship during their graduate study should submit a completed graduate assistantship application form to the Department of Accounting. A graduate assistant must have at least a 3.0/4.0 undergraduate GPA and may enroll in a maximum of 12 hours per semester.
