Scholarships
There are numerous scholarships for students majoring in finance or risk management and insurance.
You can apply online for scholarships in this department, listed below, or scholarships in the Miller College of Business. The deadline is February 22.
Farm Credit Services Scholarship
- Indiana junior or senior, finance or marketing major
- Requires 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and the expression of leadership ability
- Normally, students who have received more than $2,500 in merit-based scholarships during the past year are not eligible
First Merchants Bank Scholarship–Joe Holaday Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Business juniors or seniors with outstanding academic achievement
- Honors the qualities of character and leadership displayed in the career of the late Joe Holaday, senior loan officer, associated with the First Merchants Bank for 28 years
Mutual Federal Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Inc. Scholarship
- Local business students demonstrating high academic achievement
Old National Bank Scholarship
- Outstanding finance majors
CPCU—Harry J. Loman Foundation Scholarship
- Insurance majors
- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters provided funds
First Merchants Insurance Services Inc. Scholarship
- Full-time juniors or seniors interested in an insurance career
Independent Insurance Agents of Evansville Foundation Inc. Scholarship
- For those interested in a career with an independent insurance agency
Indiana Chapter CPCU Scholarship
Indiana Workers Compensation Institute Inc. Scholarship
- Insurance majors or minors
- Requires 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Jack Peckinpaugh Insurance Scholarship
- Full-time juniors or seniors interested in an insurance career.
- Established by Jack Peckinpaugh, a member of the Miller College of Business Hall of Fame and a former member of the Ball State Board of Trustees
Morrison-Galliher Inc. Insurance Scholarship
- Full-time juniors or seniors, insurance majors, interested in an insurance career
Shultz Insurance Agency Inc. Scholarship
- Insurance majors
- Academically outstanding
- Preferably from Elkhart County
- Fund established in 1978 by Shultz Insurance Agency Inc., Elkhart, Indiana, with Aetna Life Insurance Company
Young Agents Committee Of The Independent Insurance Agents of Central Indiana
- For those interested in a career with an independent insurance agency.
Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Scholarship
- Preference given to current sophomores, juniors, or seniors majoring in risk management and insurance
- Dependents of Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance employee or a licensed full-time agency employee who represents Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance
