Business and Marketing Education Major

College students aren’t the only ones who recognize the value of studying business.

Business and marketing educators are in demand within middle school, high school, and postsecondary programs throughout the country. They serve as faculty in middle schools, high schools, career centers, adult education programs, community/junior colleges, and other educational facilities, helping to steer young students and adult learners toward rewarding business careers. The subjects they teach focus on business, marketing, and career/technical education.

Business and marketing education majors complete specific requirements for the Teachers College in order to meet certification requirements and for the Miller College of Business to obtain business and marketing content. The program includes field experiences and student teaching in Indiana public schools. The Indiana Professional Standards Board oversees teacher licensing, and candidates meet requirements of Ball State and the state of Indiana for teacher certification.
