Minor in Business Information Technology

You need strong computer skills, whether or not you’re a business major.

This minor is open to non-business students who want to enhance their business computer skills. The 15-credit minor is not open to students who already have a minor in another business subject, including consumer finance, entrepreneurship, foundations of business, foundations of management, legal studies in business, marketing, professional selling, and risk management and insurance.

We also offer a 15-credit minor in business information technology designed just for business students (except those majoring in information systems). Course work ranges from project management to systems application development to Web design.

Business students who are majoring in operations management also may choose a special 15-credit minor in industrial technology. Course work possibilities focus on technical knowledge useful in such pursuits as plant management, including manufacturing operations, industrial safety, industrial electronics, and computer-aided design.
