Ann Wolfe earned her undergraduate music education degree from Salem College (Winston-Salem NC) where she was presented the June Louise Samson Award for excellence in music education. Her graduate music education degree is from James Madison University (Harrisonburg VA), and her Doctorate of Arts degree was earned at Ball State University.

Dr. Wolfe was an elementary band director at Anthony Seeger Laboratory school in Virginia, and a general music teacher as well as band instructor at East Elementary School in Pendleton IN. While at East Elementary she was presented the CAMEO award for excellence in education from the South Madison Community School Corporation. Through this award she was able to commission a high school band piece by composer Michael Cunningham titled "Ohio River Medley."

As a Ball State contract teacher Dr. Wolfe teaches classes that emphasize the integration of music in elementary, special education, and early childhood education classrooms. She consistently earns high ratings on semester evaluations from her students.

Dr. Wolfe is active in the Muncie community as the Children's Music Director at Hazelwood Christian Church. In 1998 and 2003 she organized and conducted the combined children's choirs for the autumn Muncie Community Thank Sing. She also serves as a board member of the Muncie Ballet Studio, and is chair of her congregation's Worship and Fine Arts Committee. She performs with Masterworks Chorale and is active in her church adult choir and handbell choir. In past years she has volunteered at A Better Way shelter for women and was a member of the White River Recorder ensemble.
